Simple Sandwich bread

Sandwich is a quick breakfast anyone could ever think of it. We can use so many types of bread based on our need. In this post I am going to share a simple and easy bread recipe for the beginners. You can use bread machine or hand for making this bread.

I am sure you will have a good arm exercise once you done with your hand. If you find it so time consuming and difficult, believe me its worth it once you have a fresh baked bread hot loaf in your hand!!

Ingredients:
Servings: One loaf of bread
Baking time: 35 mins
Preparation time: 3 hours
1. Warm water (110 deg ) - 1 cup
2. Warm whole milk (110 deg ) - 1/4 cup
3. Active dry yeast - 2&1/4 tsp
4. Sugar - 2 tbsp.
5. Unsalted butter - 4 tbsp.
6. Salt - 1&1/2 tsp
7. All purpose flour - 3&1/4 cups

Method of preparation:

1. Take warm water in a bowl and add warm milk, sugar and yeast in it. ( If you don't have thermometer don't worry. The milk and water should be in the temperature like you can bath a baby in it ).
2. Mix everything well together.
3. If you see the yeast is not mixing well with the water and milk. That's totally normal. Just give a mix using a spoon and leave it rest in a nice warm place for about 10-15 mins.
4. You can see that the yeast is nicely risen.

5. Now take this risen yeast mixture in a big bowl. Add butter (softened not melted!!) and salt.
6. Mix for 2 mins. (If you see chunks of butter not combining properly that's fine!).
7. Add one cup of flour and mix for 2 minutes using a wooden spatula until its well combined.
8. Add flour one by one cup at a time and keep on mixing every time you add it. You can see that the flour is leaving from the sides of the bowl at last. This will take about 5 mins.
9. Transfer the dough to the floured surface and start kneading by your hand. Do this for about 2 mins.
10. If you feel your dough is so sticky, you can always sprinkle flour to it and knead again.
11. Once you completed your kneading tuck in and form as a ball shaped dough.
12. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it using a wrap. Let it rise for about 1 hour or until its double in size.
13. When the dough is ready and risen up nicely, punch it down to release the air.
14. Grease a loaf pan.
15. Lightly flour the surface and start kneading for a minute.
16. Make the dough as a rectangle shape with the width of pan.
17. Start rolling from one end.
18. Keep the dough gently in the greased loaf pan.
19. Cover it with a loose plastic cover or aluminum foil or a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise for about 1 hour.
20. Preheat the oven for 350 degree Fahrenheit.

21. You can see that the dough is risen above 1 inch from the loaf pan.
22.Bake for 35 minutes or the outer surface is golden brown and it sounds hollow when you tap it on the top.

23. If you find that your bread is browning quickly on the top just place an aluminum foil above it(I placed the foil after 20 minutes) and continue to bake.

22. Remove the bread and let it rest for few mins.
23. You can apply a butter on the top to give a glazed look.

23. Slice the bread and serve!!
Notes:
1. You can store the bread in room temperature for 4 days . Keep it in a tight wrap.
2. You can refrigerate it for 10 days.
3. You can freeze upto 6 months. Just thaw in room temperature or microwave it for 3 mins for thawing.
