Whole grain wheat bread

 Whole grain wheat bread is a healthy bread recipe which makes a perfect bread for any type of sandwiches. This recipe is made with 100% whole wheat flour. So the final bread will be denser than the bread recipes using all purpose flour. But there is no compromise for the soft and elastic texture.

Ingredients:
Baking time : 35 mins
Total time taken : 2 hours
1. Whole wheat flour - 2&1/2 cups (+ for kneading) 
2. Sugar - 1 tsp
3. Yeast - 1&1/2 tsp
4. Salt - 2 tsp
5. Oil - 1 tbsp
6. Warm water (110 deg ) - 1&1/2 cups 

Method of preparation :
1. In a bowl take warm water and add yeast to it.
2. Add  sugar and give it a mix.
3. Keep the bowl in a warm place for about 15 mins. 
4. Now you can see that the yeast will be activated.
5. Take flour in a large bowl and add salt to it.
6. Mix it and add yeast water to it.
7. Add oil and mix using a wooden spatula ( you can use hand or bread machine as well ).
8. If you find that the dough is too sticky add 1/4 cup of flour at a time and knead again.
9. Continue kneading until you see that the flour comes off the sides of the bowl.
10. Now transfer the dough to the floured surface and knead again using hands for 5 mins.
11. Form a ball and place it in a greased bowl. 
12. Allow for proofing until the ball is double in size. (it will take about an hour ) 
13. Transfer the dough to the floured surface and punch it out .
14. You can notice that the dough is very elastic now.
15. Again knead for 3 minutes.
16. Form a ball and allow to proof for 5 minutes.
17. Pat it gently and make it a rectangle in the width of a loaf pan.
18. Start rolling from the bottom to the top.



19. Keep the rolled dough in the greased pan and cover using a loose cover.
20. Allow for rising until it reaches the top.

21. Preheat the oven for 420 degrees Fahrenheit and keep the pan and bake for 35 minutes.
22. Bread will make a hollow sound if you pat on the top of it.
23. Rest the baked bread completely and slice it!!!
