Low carb Bun | Keto bun

 This recipe, I have tried from ketoconnect.net is a good replacement for usual burger bun. 

Do try this recipe and enjoy with a protein patty and salad of your choice!!


Ingredients:
Baking time : 15 minutes
Making : 4 buns

1. Shredded mozzarella and provolone cheese - 1&1/4 cup ( Note: The actual recipe calls for shredded mozzarella cheese) 
2. Almond flour - 1 cup
3. Coconut flour - 2 tbsp
4. Whole egg - 1
5. Egg white - 1
6. Cream cheese - 2 oz.
7. Baking powder - 1&1/2 tsp
8. Sesame seeds - 1&1/2 tbsp

Method of preparation:
1. Take the cheese in a bowl.
2. Add cream cheese to it.
3. Microwave for 45 seconds. 
4. Mix gently.
5. Microwave again for 20-30 seconds until it becomes smooth.
6. Add egg to it.
7. Combine using a fork.
8. If the mixture is still not combined well, no worries. It will be mixed well when combined with flour.
9. Add almond flour.
10. Add coconut flour.
11. Add baking powder.
12. Mix everything together using a spatula or by hands!!
13. Combine well. You can see that the cheese mixture is combined well with the flour.
14. Now the dough is ready!!
15. Transfer the dough to a smooth surface. Here I just transferred to a plate.
16. Divide it to four equal sized portions.
17. Roll each portions into balls.
18. Line a baking sheet and keep the balls in it with little spacings in between.
19. Press it slightly using fingers.
20. Brush the top of the dough with water.
21. Sprinkle sesame seeds on its top to give a proper burger bun look.
22. Now the buns are ready to bake!
23. Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit. Bake the buns for 15 minutes or until it gets nice golden brown on its top.


24. Now the soft and healthy burger buns are ready to serve!!

Notes:
1. You can store the buns in the freezer for upto two months.
2. Try heating the buns before serving which makes it more moist and soft.
