Soft pav bun

Soft pav buns are good for making pav bhaji masala. These buns are very soft which can even be used  for making burgers or any soft bun recipes.

Ingredients:
Servings: 16 buns
Total time taken : 3 hrs
1. All purpose flour (maida) - 3&1/4 cups
2. Warm milk - 1 cup
3. Salt - 1 tsp
4. Sugar - 1 tbsp
5. Active dry yeast - 2&1/4 tsp
6. Butter - 4 tbsp + for brushing
7. Egg (large) - 1

Method of preparation:
1. In a bowl, take warm milk( the milk should be in the heat like a baby can take bath in it) and add sugar.
2. Add yeast and mix it roughly.
3. Leave the yeast milk mixture in a warm place for 10-15 mins. 
4. The yeast will be nicely risen after few mins.
5. Add butter and crack an egg into it.
6. Start mixing it using a rubber or wooden spatula. Add a cup of flour and mix again until you see no lumps in it.
7. Add another cup of flour and mix again until its combined well.
8. Add the third cup of flour and mix well.
9. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of flour and start mixing until the flour leaves the edges of the bowl.
10. If you see the dough is still sticky don't worry. You want exactly the same.
11. Transfer the dough to the floured surface and start kneading by your hand. Knead for 3 minutes.
12. Form a ball and allow it to proof in a greased bowl. This will take about an hour.
13. Once the dough is more than double in size, Punch it out and start kneading again for 2 minutes.
14. Make a round shaped dough.
15. Start dividing the dough into equal sized balls.
16. Place the balls in a greased tray with spacings between them.
17. Allow to proof again for 20 mins or so. So that it reaches the required size to bake.
18. Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.
19. Place the tray carefully in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Rotate the tray in the middle of baking so that it bakes evenly.
20. Once the buns are baked well take it out and rest for 10-15 mins or until it cools completely.
21. Brush the buns by butter. 
Notes:
1. You can always use machine to make these process. Since I don't have it, I use my spatula.
