Home made tutti frutti

One of my favourite childhood memories is fighting for tutti frutti in the plum cake!! It is so attractive for kids with its colors and taste. It is a healthy dessert option too!!

Ingredients:
1. Raw papaya - 1
2. Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
3. Sugar - 1 cup
4. Food color - as required

Method of preparation:
1. Cut the raw papaya into four pieces.
2. Remove the white seeds in the center using a spoon.
3. Peel the green skin using a peeler.
4. Now we have removed all the seeds and skin from the papaya.
6. Cut the papaya into small squares. Cut it little bigger than the final size.
7. In a pan, take about 5 cups of water. Once the water starts boiling, add chopped papaya pieces and cook for ten minutes.
8. After ten minutes of boiling in water, drain the papaya using a strainer.
9. In a pan, take 1 cup of sugar and add two cups of water.
10. Start boiling the water. Now the sugar dissolved completely.
11. Add the papaya pieces in it and cook for ten minutes.
12. Add a tsp of vanilla essence while cooking.
13. Now check whether its cooked completely by pressing it.
14. Now transfer the cooked papaya into small containers.
15. Add the food colors one by one and mix well. Use separate spoons for every color so it won't mix with each other.
16. I made green, yellow, red, orange and a natural papaya color. After mixing all the colors, leave it to set for 1 hour.
17. Keep the tissue paper on plate and transfer the tutti frutti to it. Let it dry under the sun for about 4 hours or in cool climate, dry under the fan for 24 hours.
18. Now its completely dry.
19. Now mix everything in a bowl and refrigerate and use upto 3 months!!!
