Carrot paratha

Paratha is one of the North Indian recipes with so many variations in it . Based on the stuffing we used inside, it has different types. 

In this post, we are going to see how to make healthy carrot paratha. It makes a perfect breakfast recipe for kids and adults.

Ingredients:
Servings: 6 parathas
Time taken : 30 minutes
1. Carrots (grated) - 2 large
2. Wheat flour - 2 cups
3. Onion (chopped) - 1/4 cup
4. Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
5. Cumin powder - 1 tsp
6. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
7. Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
8. Salt - as required
9. Ghee - a  tsp
10. Coriander leaves (chopped) - 3 tbsp

Method of preparation:
1. In a bowl, take wheat flour, salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and cumin powder.  
2. Take ghee and mix everything together using hands until everything combined well.
3. Add water little by little and make dough.
4. Rest the dough in a container .


5. Heat the pan and add cumin seeds. Add onion and mix well.
6. Add chilli powder and cumin powder. Mix well.
7. Add carrot and salt. Mix well and cook until the moisture evaporates.
8. Add coriander leaves.
9. Mix well.


10. Divide the dough into balls. 
11. Take a ball and press in between the palm.
12. Press the edges using fingers and keep the filling inside.
13. Bring the corners together and seal it.
14. Dust the dough and press it using fingers so that the filling spread equally.
15. Roll it gently with little bit of thickness. 
16. Heat a tawa and put rolled paratha in it.
17. Flip both sided and cook by adding little bit of oil or ghee.
18. Enjoy healthy carrot parathas with spiced curd aside!!
