Wheat naan

Naan is a kind of bread like recipe which goes well with masalas like Chana masala, chole masala, butter masala, Kadai paneer, etc. Usually naan is prepared by using Maida or All purpose flour.

In this post I am going to share you how to make naan by using wheat flour (Atta).

Ingredients:
Servings : 8 naan
Total time taken : 2 hours
1. Wheat flour - 2 cups
2. Warm water ( 110 degrees ) - 3/4 cup
3. Active dry yeast - 1&1/2 tsp
4. Sugar - 1 tsp
5. Salt - 1 tsp
6. Curd - 2 tbsp
Method of preparation :
1. Take warm water in a bowl and add yeast to it.
2. Add sugar to it. Combine everything using a spoon.
3. Cover the bowl and leave the yeast mixture in a warm environment for 10-15 mins.
4. The yeast will rise beautifully on the top. 
5. Add flour and salt.
6. Add curs and mix everything together using a wooden spoon or you can use your hand.
7. Knead well for 5 minutes and form a ball. Leave it to rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.
8. Once it is double in size punch it out and knead well again for 3 minutes.
9. Separate the dough into balls and leave it for 5 minutes.
10. The dough will be risen again a bit.
11. Roll the dough in a smooth surface using a roller. Take care you SHOULD NOT roll it thin!!
12. Place the rolled naan in a hot tawa. It should start bubble on its top. 
13. Flip on both sides and apply a little butter at last and serve hot !!

Notes:
1. You can make variations in naan like you can sprinkle some sesame seeds or chopped garlic on top.
2. If you find the dough is so sticky after adding two cups of flour, you can add about 1/4 cup of flour. But don't add much otherwise it will make the naan heavy.
