Kale is known for its cancer fighting properties. It can be eaten as raw or steam or stir fry it.
In this post I am going to share stir fry recipe for kale.
Ingredients:
1. Oil - 2 tbsp
2. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
3. Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
4. Chana dal - 1/2 tsp
5. Onion ( chopped ) - 1/2 cup
6.Coconut ( grated ) - 2 tbsp
7. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
8. Garlic cloves - 3
9. Red chillies - 2
10. Kale - a bunch ( remove the thick stems)
11. Salt - as required
Method of preparation:
1. Take coconut, cumin seeds, red chillies and garlic in mixer and grind it coarsely.2. In a pan add oil, tempering ingredients ( mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal ).
3. Wait till mustard seeds splutters and dal becomes golden. Add onion and sauté for 2 minutes.
4. Add kale and sauté for 10 mins. The leaves will start to water and shrink.
6. Ready to serve with rice !!
