Chole masala for chapathi

Chole masala is a delicious & flavourful Indian curry served with naan or roti.  This is my first try with this recipe and it came out really really good. So I cant wait to share you this recipe!!

Ingredients:
Cooking time : 45 mins
Servings : 4

1. Oil - 3 tbsp
2. Onion  ( chopped ) - 1 cup
3. Ginger ( chopped ) - 1 tbsp
4. Green chillies ( slit ) - 2 to 3
5. Tomato ( chopped ) - 2 no.
6. Cashews - 10
7. Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 tsp  
8. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
9. Chole masala - 1 tsp
10. Salt - as required
11. Chana dal - 1/4 cup

(  Soak Chana dal for overnight or 8 hours and boil with salt )  
Method of preparation :
1. In a mixer, take tomato and cashews and grind it to a smooth paste.
2. Take oil in a pan and add onion. Sauté until the onions are golden brown.
3. Add ginger and green chillies. Mix it.
4. Add Kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder and chole masala.
5. Mix everything together for 2 mins and add tomato puree.
6. Combine everything and cook for 3 mins.
7. Add boiled chana along with water and cook until you get the perfect consistency.
8. Crush kasoori methi in palm and add in the masala.
9. Mix everything together and serve with naan or roti!!
